RAM's standard structural column is a nail-laminated column using 2x6 #1 SYP CCA .60 treated bottoms and 2x6 1650F 1.5E SPF tops. All nail-laminated columns are engineered to meet National Design Specifications (NDS) and American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE) 559 as required by Section 2306.1 of the International Building Code.
All of our roof systems feature a heavy-duty engineered roof truss with the variety of loads designed for each application. Trusses are manufactured in Minnesota using both visually graded as well as machine stress rated lumber.
Exterior finishes includes industry leading wall and roof steel specifications with hot dipped galvanized two coat rolled system including premium MS Colorfast45 top coat over a properly cleaned and pre-treated substrate. Available on our 26 and 24 gauge panels is a PVDF top coat meeting Kynar™ 500 and Hylar™ 5000 specifications. Every Ram building allows for a wide range of materials to used on the exterior, such as, brick, wood, block, stone, and EIFS.
High performance wall, ceiling and roof insulation applications of fiberglass batt, blown insulation, sprayed polyurethane foam and condensation blanket options. We also have interior steel and wood sheathing liners.
Wood framed buildings have many benefits that make it a solid construction material. Wood offers a quick and easily customizable construction material that is cost effective. Wood has a much better insulation value than other building materials and can reduce your overall energy costs. RAM wood framed buildings are designed and treated to stand up to the harshest Minnesota environments. Cold weather does not lower the strength or weaken wood.
