Where did the idea for the RAM ADVANTAGE™ come from?

In the early years of RAM Buildings, Inc., founders Rollie Radtke and Gregg Machemehl saw a large problem facing their customers – they had to go to many different sources to get their project completed, and they had to do it on their own.

First, the excavator to get the site ready, then the building contractor to get the building erected, then the concrete company for the floor, then the electricians, then the heating people… scheduling was a nightmare, and everyone blamed the other guy if something wasn’t right. The whole process ended up taking way too long to complete, and the end result was not always what the buyer had in mind… that’s when the idea of the RAM Advantage™ was born.

How do I benefit from the RAM ADVANTAGE™?

When you contract with RAM Buildings, Inc. to construct your new building, your Territory Manager will meet with you, preferably at your building site, and together you decide which services RAM will supply, from excavation services to plumbing and heating. RAM can do it all “turn-key” from beginning to end, or we can take care of certain parts of the project only… you decide. No headaches, no stress, no additional phone calls, and no arguments between contractors or wondering where they are. With RAM’s experience and reputation at the helm, your building project will run smoothly, and each phase will be done on schedule, and done right the first time.

RAM is one of only a handful of Post Frame Accredited Builders in the state of Minnesota, an accreditation earned from the National Frame Building Association, and presented only to those companies that pass their stringent requirements.

What is RAM’s Lumber Advantage?

All treated lumber in a RAM building is .6 sub grade treated, not .4 above grade like some other companies use. Our factory-engineered and built laminated columns are machine stress rated (MSR) lumber, as are our roof purlins - not the typical standard-grade lumber. Our factory-engineered trusses can be designed in a variety of slopes and shapes, and are built to exact load specifications for each individual building’s load requirements. A stronger, longer-lasting building depends on superior lumber.

What is RAM's Insurance Advantage?

Unlike many other building companies, RAM protects you before and during the construction process by providing Workers’ Compensation Insurance for our construction crews, as well as Public Liability Insurance and Builders’ Risk Insurance which protects your materials and building from hazards until the building project is completed. RAM Buildings, Inc. provides a wide range of services to fit virtually any building project, both large and small. We are a general contractor that can complete all phases of a project from building permit to final inspection. We also have our own excavation division and provide any dirt-work necessary for your project.

Who do I contact about a RAM Building?

Whether you contact RAM Buildings, Inc. via telephone, email, or directly through our website, the entire process begins with our Territory Managers. The actual location of your building project will determine which Territory Manager you will be working with. Each Territory Manager is responsible for a specific geographical area of the State of Minnesota, and is extremely knowledgeable about the building codes and specific building requirements in the area he/she serves. Your Territory Manager will be your primary point of contact with RAM Buildings, Inc., and will help guide you through the entire construction process of your building project.
